Palm Sunday: Passion of the Lord

Today, we stand at the threshold of Holy Week, beginning with joy and ending in sorrow. On Palm Sunday, we recall Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem, greeted with palm branches and shouts of praise. Yet within moments, the tone shifts as we hear the Passion narrative. The same voices that cried “Hosanna” will soon cry “Crucify Him”. In this we are reminded of the fragility of human faith–and the steadfastness of Christ’s love.

Palm Sunday invites us not only to remember these events, but to enter into them. We are not spectators of Holy Week, we are participants. Our own lives reflect both the moments of devotion and the times we fall short. Yet Christ continues His journey to the Cross–for us.
