Fundraising Committee

We thank our fundraising committee as they assist with various events and ministries to the community. The fundraising committee’s largest project is our Parish picnic which is on a Sunday in early July.   For more information on meeting times and how to join, please contact the parish office at 717-985-1330.

Luncheon Committee:

Our Luncheon Committee provides our Parish with dinners for special occasions, such as, Forty Hours. They are involved in cooking for our Annual Parish Picnic. They are available to assist family members of deceased parishioners to provide a luncheon following the Funeral Service.  We have the “best” cooks who participate in this committee.

Pastoral Council:

The Parish Council is comprised of six parishioners and other ex-officio members.  There is a member of the liturgical staff, religious staff, Parish Finance Committee Chairman and our Parish Deacon as representative of the Parish community.  The Parish Council is an intricate part of our Parish in that they assist our Pastor in decision making for the betterment of the Parish and Parishioners.

Parish Finance Committee:

Our Parish Finance Committee is comprised of three parishioners, our Finance Secretary and our Pastor.   They are involved in financial decision making along with our Pastor and are an intricate part of the Parish community. The Finance Committee reviews the annual budget prior to submitting to the Parish Council.  The Finance Committee is responsible for the Fiscal Year Income/Expense Report and submitting the statement to the Parishioners and the Bishop of the Diocese of Harrisburg.

SCRIP Program:

SCRIP cards are available for ordering at this time and are perfect as birthday or anniversary gifts, or just to say “thank you” or just to shop. Remember Easter Gift Giving is just around the corner. Please stop by or call the Parish Office to place an order. We need your participation to make our SCRIP program a success. A portion of the SCRIP profits will be applied to our Guardian Angel Fund to assist our families with their children’s Catholic education. We have placed order forms in the back of Church for your convenience.

Parish Choir:

Our Parish choir is under the direction of Mr. Rick Vukmanic.  Our choir participates in our weekend Masses and at all holidays and special occasions, such as, Easter, Christmas and our Eucharistic devotions.  They are a group of parishioners who devote their time to praise God through their musical talents.

Kolo Club “MARIAN”:

Our Kolo Club “Marian” is an intricate part of our Parish community and our youth.  The youth perform musical renditions and dances from Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Austria, Hungary, Italy and Kosovo.  They plan and practice for their annual Concert which is held the first Saturday of May.  Thank  you to all of the adult instructors and the children who participate in this ministry.

Mary’s Helpers Food Pantry and Clothing Store:

Mary’s Helpers Food Pantry and Clothing store gives aide to our local community to provide food and clothing. They work with the Central PA Food Bank and donations from other organizations, food stores and our Parish Community.  The volunteer staff gives hours of their time during the week to maintain the pantry and are committed to the presence of this mission in our Parish.

50+ Senior Club

Our 50+ Senior Club meets monthly to enjoy the companionship of other parishioners and friends. They are involved in special projects to give assistance to our Parishioners who are unable to attend Mass.   They keep in touch with our parishioners in nursing facilities or those who are homebound.  An informative speaker or entertainment is scheduled at each of their meetings along with “special snacks” and “delicious goodies” for all to enjoy.  On occasion they play BINGO, too.  Come out and join our 50+ Senior Club by contacting our Parish Office at 717-985-1330.
