Women’s Conference: Diocese of Harrisburg: Saturday, October 19, 2024

Dear Friends:

Almost 25 years ago, my life changed when I collapsed in the shower during my first panic attack. That moment began my own journey of hope and healing, with my loved one close by and my gaze on Christ.

It has not been an easy journey. Along the way I encountered the lives – full of suffering and hope -of many other women. Whether it was the suffering of child loss, of mental health issues, of cancer diagnosis, of death, of divorce, of strained relationships, our unique journeys became a single path that we all walked together. It did not solve the problems, or make the pain stop, but it felt good to not feel like we were walking alone.

This year’s Women’s Conference, Hope and Healing at the Foot of the Cross, is my personal invitation to you to unite your journey to ours. Whether you want to share your story or simply be in good company where sorrow and joy can mingle without judgment, this year’s event is made with you in mind. I look forward to seeing you there!
